One of the top questions we get when planning a session is “What locations will we shoot at?” The answer to that actually depends on a few factors:
1. Your personality: if you are a nature girl at heart and want to be one with Mother Earth, your locations will be outside in the warm sun surrounded by greenery, blooms, or the beach. We can frolic in the fields, walk the trails of tall grass, or relax on the beach!
2. If you’re more of a city/small town girl, we’ll shoot where we can find an urban vibe. Somewhere you will find unique architecture or in a town with shops and cafes. A lot of our clients are a bit of both, so we usually shoot in a variety of these locations.
3. Your style: we love to match our clients’ outfits to locations for a cohesive look. If your outfit screams night out on the town, we’ll likely shoot in a more modern urban location. Wearing a billowy maxi dress? We’re shooting in the fields or on the beach. It just makes sense!
4. Light: one of the most important times during our sessions is called the “golden hour” when the light is about one hour from going down. This is when you can usually find us shooting in the tall grass or on the beach! Locations before this hour are usually heavily decided on by how the light falls on our subject.
