Here’s a quick summary of how the JLP Experience works:
Pre-Session Consultation
ALL SESSIONS
This is such a fun part that's usually done via Zoom, but if you prefer, we can meet at a location of your choice. My favorites spots are at local coffee shops where we can just relax and get to know each other. During the Pre-Session Consultation, we will choose shooting locations and styling, design an inspiration/mood board, and make a checklist for the day, so that everything runs smoothly when we take your portraits. We will also discuss session preparations and hair and makeup for the day of your session. We require all our clients to have professional hair and makeup done with JLP's very own Hair and Makeup Artist, Clara. You will be given her contact information during our consultation. Keep in mind that hair and makeup is not included in the cost of your session.
Portrait Experience
SENIORS
I recommend booking a Two-Hour Portrait Session for your senior experience. Typically a session takes two hours (or a little more, because we will be having so much fun). A Two-Hour Portrait Session gives the most flexibility for changing locations and allows for 3-4 outfit changes. To get the best lighting possible, sessions typically start 3 hours before sunset. You will also need to factor in at least a couple of hours with Clara, our Hair and Makeup Artist. Her studio is located in Milford. And, the best part is that she comes along to your session to make hair and makeup changes and/or touch ups. You'll definitely feel like a super model for the day.
FASHION + PORTRAITS
We have a variety of digital packages for our Fashion and Portrait clients. Your experience will depend upon what digital package you have chosen. There are three packages. The Professional Portrait Package, The Industry Headshot Package, and The Portfolio Development Package. All details and costs are listed below.
To get the best lighting possible, sessions typically start around sunset. You will also need to factor in at least a couple of hours with Clara, our Hair and Makeup Artist. Her studio is located in Milford. And, the best part is that she comes along for the 1 and 2 hour packages. This is great for hair and makeup changes and/or touch ups. You'll definitely feel pampered.
Gallery Reveal
SENIORS
Usually, a couple weeks after your session, we would get together for your Gallery Reveal Session. This is the part where you get to watch a custom designed slide show of all the images captured during your session. This is also when you would purchase any prints, wall art, and/or digital files from your session. I prefer to have this done in your home because then I can help you choose the perfect spots for you to hang your favorite portraits and display our custom designed products. Please keep in mind that all decision makers must be present at the time of the Gallery Reveal Session and all orders must be placed at that time.
Once your order has been placed and paid in full, I will completely retouch your images and order your prints and/or wall art. Once they arrive from the lab, I will package them for you and bring them to your home or let you know that they are available for pick up. If you need help with framing, let me know and I will be glad to assist. I want the JLP Experience to be like none you have had before and for everything to be handled from the planning of your session all the way to delivery.
FASHION + PORTRAITS
Usually, a couple weeks after your session, we will send you an online gallery of all the images we captured during your session. Through the online gallery, you will select your favorite images. Once you have chosen your favorites, we will fully retouch those images and send you a new online gallery of those images for you to download. And, no worries, you have the option to purchase additional digitals, if you would like more than the ones included in your digital package.

Other Important Information:
Portrait Session Fees do not include hair and make up. They also do not include prints and/or specialty products. There is a $800 minimum product purchase required at the time of your Gallery Reveal Session. The average investment in products is $2000+. Products available include the following: Mounted Prints, Canvas Wraps, Wood Wall Art, Metal Wall Art, Custom Designed Albums, and more.
