I have had the honor and privilege of photographing Beau + her family for quite a few years now. From family sessions at the state fair and on her Grandparent’s farm, to senior sessions of her older siblings, to Beau + her friends getting ready to go to Homecoming. Each one has been such a special moment and I honestly feel like part of their family now. It is always such a blessing to have clients who come to you time after time + truly value what you do as an artist.
For Beau’s Sweet 16 session, she wanted to use her Grandparent’s farm because it holds such a special place in her heart. When I arrived at the farm, we hopped on a golf cart, zoomed past the chicken houses and fields, and arrived at our first location that she + her Mom had already prepared. It was a beautiful spot in the woods where they had hung some old fashioned lighting from the trees. Beau definitely looked like a forest fairy in her long flowing white dress.
Our second location, was down the road from the farm. It was a spot that the younger family members had used throughout the years for hanging out + fishing. It was a spot that you would never know existed, unless you knew someone from that area. It was a bit of a challenge to get to the rocks in the water where I wanted to shoot, but the climb down the embankment and traipsing through the water was absolutely worth it for the images we were able to capture. And, we even got to shoot some images with a more urban feel on the bridge above.
After we got the shots we wanted, we all hopped back in the truck and headed back to the farm for some shots closer to her Grandparents’ home and barns. Her final look gave me full country girl vibes and I especially loved the cowgirl boots. It was perfect for some sunset shots against the white farm fence for this beautiful Delaware girl.
Thank you, Beau + family, for allowing me to photograph you for all the special moments in your lives. It blesses my heart so much each + every time! Looking forward to our next session + another family dinner of fried chicken + potato salad. You all are the best!
The cutest + sweetest Grandparents ever!
